On the road headed up to Vancouver to visit Opa and Oma. Nothing like a little family bonding over electronics! No, but seriously--how did parents survive road trips before portable DVD players were invented?!?!

Road trip? Listen, back in the day we use to pile up into our peugot 504 and drive 400km to Numan from Jos. 4 kids my parents and a dog, lots of luggage, a roof rack....no ipod no computers, no AC, just lots of scenery, mile markers and the ever so often horror of watching a 'luxury' bus heading straight at you as it over takes a pick up truck with 10 cows and 7 people in it. Those were some road trips I tell you!
