10 Miles!!

We did our second 10 mile walk today (training for the 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk). Woo hoo!!

What is it about sleeping children?

One of my very most absolutely totally favourite times of the day is going in to give one last goodnight kiss to the kids... E often falls asleep "reading" one of daddy's computer magazines with pictures of Star Wars characters or Wii stuff.

Friday, April 20

AT & I got a pair of adult skate shoes/wheelies/heelies (yes, my feet are big enough/his are small enough that we can share a pair of shoes!!). They are a riot and I definitely haven't mastered how to skate in them yet. It's entertainment watching me try, though...




















AT came out to take photos of our 3 Day Walk team. Like he often does--he slipped on the first pair of shoes he saw. As mentioned above, we have similar sized feet so, um, yeah. Hopefully this picture is clear enough to see that he's wearing some of my sandals that have quite the height on them. Like he needs to be any taller!

E's t-ball debut! He started today on The Raptors, he was in absolute heaven at his first practice, it was very very adorable. Total boy-hood rite of passage. He said that real baseball is harder than Wii baseball, but it seems that all his Wii baseball playing has helped with his hand/eye coordination and he really did a good job of hitting the ball off that T...

A's bike was way too big for her last summer, but now she's off on her big two wheeler bike and loving it. Lauren wanted to be a big girl too!

April 9

First day of spring break... A bunch of us went to the Science Center to check out a very fun exhibit called Grossology.















Grossology was kid heaven!! It was all about snot, farts, burps, you name it...

Easter Sunday

Daddy, er, the Easter Bunny, had the kids go on a treasure hunt to find their big chocolate bunnies.

Easter Egg Hunt day!!

The 2nd Annual Egg Hunt in our neighborhood. I had crafts for the kids to do at first--like decorating bags to use for the egg hunt.















And off they go!!!




















The kids know that they can only hunt for eggs in yards with the inflatable bunny hanging in the tree. We had about 18 homes participate this year.















A patch of dandelions make a perfect hiding place for an egg!




















The big eggs were the most exciting--they had cool little prizes and toys in them.

An impromptu block party... One of my girlfriends and I were sitting on the curb while our four children played with a few balls and some sidewalk chalk. Then our neighbors on both sides ended up coming out, another neighbor saw us on her way home from picking her son up from daycare, another neighbor's 3 year old heard us around the corner, another happened by on a bike ride with her dad... And voila, a block party. Who has time for homework in a neighborhood like this?!
