Hangin' with Opa and Oma
Me and the kids hangin' right around the corner from my parents' apartment.
This is a small sampling of The Gang at the coffee shop next to my parents' building. These people had gathered to celebrate my mom's birthday. That's my dad in the middle of the picture with the funky facial hair :) Oh dad. My parents have created quite the social life for themselves there in the heart of downtown. Ahh, the life of retirees!!
(I know, I keep adding more than one picture, but hey--this whole picture-a-day thing isn't about *limiting* the number of photos taken! I figure it's okay to add extras here and there especially on a trip or on a special occasion...)
Happy 65th Birthday, Mom!!

I got lovely birthday wishes, memories, poems, pictures, etc from a lot of my mom's friends and family. Then I rolled up all the papers and created this "paper cake". It was a very special, meaningful (and not-fattening!!) type of cake :)
65 candles make for A LOT of smoke!!
We went to a very cool exhibit at Canada Place called CANstruction. There were a ton of impressive "sculptures" made out of cans of food, here is our family by the CANadian flag. This is a yearly event and after the exhibit is done all of the cans of food get donated to food banks and such. Check out the site for other creations we saw.

The City and swingin'
Sunday, March 4th
Part of the skyline as I drove home after meeting my 3 Day Walk teammates for a walk north of the city. I know, I shouldn't snap and drive! I did it quick :)

Monday, March 5th
It was a beautiful spring day today so we went out to play. A loves swingin' around on the bars at the playground.

The yellow-y-est yellow you ever did see...
We went to a very cool kids improv play at this oh-so-yellow funky theater. When we walked in E said "This place is old school!" and while he doesn't really know what that means, he was definitely right...

Girl Scouts and Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss

Thursday, March 1st
World Thinking Day for the Girl Scouts
This is A's Brownie troop, they did a little thing about Greece.
Friday, March 2nd
Happy Birthday
Dr. Seuss!!
E and I spent a while in A's first grade class helping with some Dr. Seuss crafts.
Here are the kids modeling their Cat in the Hat hats and their bow ties.
Did you ever notice that the Cat in the Hat's bow tie only has one ribbon hanging off of it instead of the usual two? We learned all kindsa stuff!

(bonus picture from March 2nd :)
E loved spending time in the first grade and all of A's classmates think he's adorable. He'll have lots of big friends when he starts kindergarten there next fall!

Pictures 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6...
Saturday, February 24
S, AT and me at our friend's 28th birthday party. Um, yeah.

Sunday, February 25
A rollerskating at a friend's birthday party. We had a blast! It was her first time ever and my first time in, well, let's say about 25 years...

Monday, February 26
We love our new blinds!!
(Not every day can have exciting pictures of things like AT's skeletor look--as in picture # 2 :)
Tuesday, February 27
That blur in the middle is E jumping into the foam pit at his gymnastics class.

Wednesday, February 28
This picture is grainy because I took it in a darkened room with my camera phone. I should've had my real camera along! Tsk tsk, that's part of this whole picture-a-day thing. Anyway, I thought this was photo worthy because it's not every day that a five year old boy has an ultrasound! It was just a follow up thing for something from 2005, all is well. E thought it was cool having x-ray vision into his tummy.
And now, my friends, I'm up to date. Today, March 1st is day 7. Stay tuned for what today's picture will be! Thanks for visiting and come back often...
